John Hampton: Crossing Over with an impressive Legacy

What an amazing life and legacy. Let’s talk about unsung hero!

John Hampton was an award-winning engineer and producer. We are sad to report that he pass on to the spirit in the sky on Friday. He was suffering from complications of cancer, according to Memphis Commercial Appeal. He made it to age 61.

He mixed tracks for Jack White’s bands. Albums include White Stripes’Get Behind Me Satan, The Dead Weather’s Sea of Cowards, and The Raconteurs’ “Broken Boy Soldiers” and “Hands”. He also engineered a pair of archival records for The Replacements, and record John Hiatt, Alex Chilton, The Cramps, The Afghan Whigs, and Jimmie Vaughn.

Hampton won two Grammy Awards and our respect.
